Alejandro Gastón Jantus Lordi de Sobremonte is an Italian-Argentinian journalist, sociologist, editor and researcher whose work examines the relationship between media, digital platforms and the social construction of reality.
He is Founder and Chief Executive Officer of NETMEDIACOM SRL, President of the International Center for Social Research, and Editor-in-Chief of the European Journal of Media and Digital Communication Studies. He also directs the Sharing Media press agency and the digital newspapers NETMEDIACOM and AJCOM.
His academic interests include media sociology, digital communication, audience and platform studies, visual culture, journalism, semiotics and User Experience. His professional career spans more than three decades across journalism, publishing, institutional communication and media relations in Europe and the Americas.
Current research
His recent work focuses on algorithmic media, the construction of leadership and credibility in digital political discourse, online audiovisual seriality, platform cultures and human-centred digital design.
